Relationships Breaking Up Advice – 7 Tips to Cope

Breakups can be very stressful and quite an emotional ride, but when we find our relationships breaking up we really don’t have to let our lives spiral out of control.

I’d like to share a few tips that will help you keep your sanity in a time when you feel like you are going insane.

Here you’ll find relationships breaking up advice to help you get your life back on track.

First, get your own space.

Maybe you or your ex has moved out. That’s great. But if you just can’t afford to, it can be a good idea to at least set aside a room or something for yourself.

Think of this as defining your own personal space.

Sort of a place where you can escape to in order to just be yourself without having to feel like you’re still tangled up with your ex.

This is really key in surviving breakups and getting your life back under control.

Second, eat right.

I know that we tend to reach for the chocolate or the ice cream when we go through the stress of our relationships breaking up, but you really should make the effort to eat right.

Having a poor diet isn’t going to help anyone and eating healthy will help keep you from getting too depressed.

Plus, it’s a great first step in breakup healing and pulling yourself back together. You’d be surprised at how much a balanced diet can really help.

Third, take a walk or go for a run.

It may seem cliche, but simply moving your body can actually help you work out those complicated emotions and help you actually feel like you are moving forward with your life.

You’ll come back with a new and better perspective on your life, and you might just feel like you’re getting over your boyfriend (finally!).

There’s just something about moving your body and taking one step after another that actually helps you feel as if you’re accomplishing something.

Some of my biggest breakthroughs have come from a walk to sort my thoughts out.

Fourth, spend some time thinking about your next partner.

Daydream and have some fun with it.

I bet he’s going to be quite attractive and going out with him will be incredibly fun!

This is a great way to focus on something nice and put those nasty feelings of hurt aside for awhile.

So many people don’t give themselves permission to really focus on what they want and actually allow themselves to feel good.

Fifth, recognize that this too shall pass.

Even though a period of a relationship breakup in your life might seem very painful, it will eventually come to an end and you will be able to move on, smile, laugh, and love again.

You might be in the depths of despair from your ex boyfriend ignoring you or doing something petty like blocking you online, but understand that whatever happens or doesn’t happen, you’ll eventually come to accept it and learn to live.

Sixth, pick up a new hobby.

Taking an interest in something new is a great way to get your mind off of your ex. Join some clubs or take some classes.

These will help you get out of the house, stay active, and meet some great new friends that you can enjoy good times with.

Seventh, use this as a growing experience.

Breakups are never fun, but that doesn’t mean you can’t be grateful for them. Within every bad thing that happens, there is a seed of something good. If you dig a bit you will find it.

Maybe you are now free to find someone that loves you just the way you want to be loved.

Maybe you found a way out of a relationship that really wasn’t that good to begin with.

Maybe this is a chance for you to become independent and learn to love yourself. There is and upside to your breakup if you’re willing to look for it.

Maybe this is a chance to work things out, practice forgiveness, and get back with your ex.

When we find our relationships breaking up and we know that the end is near, it is never something easy to deal with.

However, it doesn’t have to be a horrible experience. Remember, your life is what you make of it, and you can choose to make this into a positive growing experience for yourself.
